High blood pressure is defined on wikipedia as:

Hypertension (HTN) or high blood pressure is a chronic medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is elevated. It is classified as either primary (essential) or secondary. About 90-95% of cases are termed “primary hypertension”, which refers to high blood pressure for which no medical cause can be found. The remaining 5-10% of cases (Secondary hypertension) are caused by another conditions that affect the kidneys, arteries, heart, or endocrine system.

UPDATE: I lost the domian to 1800PetMeds.com over a trademark infringement notice stating that because my name was PetMedsSurplus.com and it has PetMeds in it, I’m fringing on their trademark. Sorry for letting you all down, hopefully I’ll be able to get another store up sometime soon.

Original:

I’ve actually begun to launch a website regarding discounted pet meds and supplies that I’ve been able to find through various suppliers. I’ve been able to actually secure Frontline (among other things) for less than half of what most retail stores and even online retailers are charging for it. It’s all legit, we have several warehouses throughout the United States where the items are kept and are all through a fulfillment center. From your credit card being processed it only takes about an hour for the fulfillment center to receive the order.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to let me know through a blog comment on here or calling the 800 number on the site itself. The staff will gladly help you during normal business hours. If you’re looking into bulk ordering feel free to drop me a line as well, I can offer 10% off any order for bulk orders (being over 5 units of 3 different kinds of items, aka 5 packs of frontline, 5 of k9 advantix, 5 of bunny food, etc). I hope you all enjoy your shopping experience, and when it gets more sales I can negotiate better pricing and we can all save for our furry friends today!

Also don’t forget to check out PetPip.com for tips and tricks regarding your pets and pet supplies today!

One of the things I’ve been studying lately is the effect of certain incoming anchors on each other. In other words, an incoming anchor text of "super duper widgets" and "blue fuzzy widgets" may actually help you rank for the term "widgets" as well as the others. Maybe the exact opposite is able to be done as well?

If you have 2 incoming anchors for "widgets" and one for "blue widgets" maybe you’ll begin to rank for "fuzzy blue widgets". I know this is a common theme when it comes to keyword densities, the LSI model, etc – however most people don’t relate this to incoming anchors as well – and they need to.

Another factor that most people aren’t taking into account is the ability to target multiple keywords in your anchors via commas. I’m currently doing testing with this and so far it seems to actually work pretty darn well.

Anyway, that’s just my thought of the moment. Have fun.

Since I’ve been fortunate enough to actually have my side income go up almost 100 fold in the last 30 days, I’ve found myself looking for another way to save it properly. Yes, it would be a lot easier to just go and buy a brand new 50" LCD with the money among other things, but I’m trying to actually save for more longterm goals and put a big down payment on a house. So with great pleasure, I give you 3 places to recycle money smart during a recession.

The main point that people need to remember that there’s a difference between a savings account, and a high yield savings account. I’m not talking about a money market account. I’m talking about a real high yield savings account that is FDIC insured. So let’s kick off the three places with PNC Bank.

PNC Virtual Wallet
I checked out PNC’s Virtual Wallet about a week ago and I’ve actually signed up with them since. It works very simply in terms of a regular bank account. When you signup for the account you’re presented with three accounts through one interface. First is your "checking". This functions exactly like a normal checking account. Second is your "short term savings" which is kind of like a "I don’t need these right now but I will in a month". I believe this middle account earns 1% interest. Finally there is the last account which is the actual savings account which should be your primary focus.

This last savings account earns 3% interest on any amount up to $25,000. After you pass the $25,000 mark it drops to 1%. I did not notice any restrictions on total money for the middle account, so I’m assuming any excess money you leave in the middle account will continue to earn 1%. It also includes free billpay, a really cool feature called the money bar, and other unique features that most other banks don’t have. This is a great account overall for what I refer to as receive & transition. To learn more about the PNC Virtual Wallet, click here.

FNBO Direct
FNBO Direct is a company run by the F irst N ational B ank of O maha. This is my primary high yield savings account for longterm growth. Advertising (as of right now) a 3.25% APY with free incoming wires (I haven’t noticed a single charge on ANYTHING with this account) this is great for longer term goals such as ones that are a year out. I’ve been using my account here for almost a year and the return based on interest literally stomps a regular bank account into the ground.

I’m not going to lie. Although this is a tough time, when I first signed up for this account it was a 6.00% APY. Boy did I enjoy that. I want to stress this main point however, this is purely a savings account . This is not for checking and/or billpay (although they do have features like billpay). It’s definitely worth checking out.

ING Direct
ING is another one of those known banks but not many people notice that they have a Direct section. Boasting a 2.75% APY (and a 3.20% APY on a checking account for over 100K) I had to put it in the list. The main reason I wanted to put it in the list was the 3.20% APY checking account. This would be great for a transition account for accepting paychecks and the like while deciding where to put it.

Sadly I don’t have an account with ING Direct so I can’t say too more about them, other than they’re highly recommended by a few of my friends. Here’s the link for ING Direct.

Overall
I know this list isn’t exactly huge or exciting, and for a lot of you I bet you didn’t learn a darn thing. However for some of you I hope I was able to help in some way. Also take note this is not a suckers overview and there are no affiliate links in this post at all. So enjoy the information and leave a comment if you wish.

I often ask myself this question. How exactly would you define "successful"? Is it by the amount of money you make? Is it by how happy you are? What about how many other people’s lives you can change? Maybe it’s all three.

Personally I judge success the most by the affect of my actions on others. Did I brighten up his day? Was I able to help her out with a problem she was having? Most of my activities I do now a days involve helping people in some way. Most of the time I spend at work usually helps people out in one way or another, but most of the change and outreach I have is achieved at home.

This could be by assisting someone with a PHP script or helping with optimizing a site for SEO. There’s a lot of people that I currently mentor for their beginning journey into Affiliate Marketing. I like to think that I’m helping them change their life, and from what I’ve seen so far – I am. They get excited when they have their first $100 profit day, but I get even more excited. It proves that I can help change the lives of others through not only talking but education.

My definition of successful changes almost weekly now as my life itself begins to change. Money becomes more of a factor on some weeks, and then almost nothing on another. It’s amazing how big or small of a factor it can be dependent on how much of it you have. I often think of the saying: "It’s like air. You don’t realize how much you need it until it’s gone".

Looks like a good start to my contracting business …

"Robert has helped the growth of my business immensely by attracting the right kind of clientel through the internet. Due to Robert’s ability to create appealing websites and drive prospective clients to those websites, when people contact me they are already so impressed that they are ready to sign up before actually visiting the school.

Since collaborating with Robert a couple months ago, we have seen the amount of business that we attract through the website increase by 300% monthly. Previously, our website generated little, if any, business; now, most of our customers come in off of the website.

To get this kind of exposure through advertising in magazines and newspapers, as my competitors do, would have cost several thousand dollars per month. While we are busy posting flyers around town and trying to get our name out there, the website is doubling our efforts, and we don’t even need to do anything!"

I was looking through my logs and I saw I got a hit from Google about the search term Finding Robert Adler … yeah that confused me. I started to look into who this Robert Adler character was and why he was trying to be found. I shortly after came across a website called FindingRobertAdler.com which looked like a new movie that would be coming out very soon.

I started looking into this movie and found a forum named EMotionDV which appeared to be a forum for up and coming movie producers (college students and the like). I really didn’t look around too long but I figured I would put this plug up for Tom and help his site get ranking above that pesky Geocities for their own term.

Hope this helps Tom, and great luck with the production!

PS – I always knew I’d be followed, but broadcast in movie format … nahhh…

Rest in Peace: 11/09/77 – 04/01/08

What can I say bro? You inspired me, you guided me, and you got me started on the passion in my life. The journey started way back in 2004, heck probably 2003. I was probably just a sophomore in high school when you really got me started focusing on security.

It all started with "by the way, your dad’s email is unencrypted" – and me being foolish enough to challenge you. Needless to say, I never doubted your trust or honesty one bit. You taught me the basics of Linux and UNIX, you taught me my first exploit (and how I still think of those days whenever I hear "ptrace"). You were the inspiration behind my entire career, goals, and even dare I say – life. I’m where I am today because of you, Rob.

You lived up to your name every hour of every day. You actually did change lives, and if not multiple – at least mine. The dreams (and ideas) that you had for H3C will always live on in your honor. RIP man …

So here’s the "Rob Writeup" of Affiliate Summit East in Boston, MA.

I flew in around 11 PM on the Friday before. Flight wasn’t too bad, I got the traditional "only $49 to upgrade!" and took it for a very nice first class ride into Boston. Walking into the Westin, I actually saw Aden and Jon (AdensBlog.com ) out front – and of course – Aden was "having a good time" *cough* SMASHED *cough*. Due to getting in so late, SlightlyShadySEO and I walked around the streets for a little bit until we finally hit the room around 2 AM.

Saturday was the day that everything really started. Around 10:15 to 10:30 some of my family stopped by to have some breakfast with me and, to my surprise, I got a free t-shirt promoting my cousins band (will take a picture after it gets out of the wash). Starting at about 1 PM I had to be on call for one of my jobs, until about 5:30 – however thanks to Aquasis Media I was able to be on call from their $3000/night Ambassador suite at the top of the Westin (can you say TV in the mirror in the bathroom).

We head out around 6:30 or so to Lucia’s over in the North End of Boston for dinner. The lasangna was AMAZING, and of course – because they’re awesome – Aquasis foot the bill 100%. We got back to the hotel probably around 8 PM and then the real fun started. We tried going over to the buy.at party, stayed about … long enough to get a free drink, then bounced. Heading back to the hotel we stopped off at the bar in the seaport, and I briefly met up with a few people from a group including Conceptual. Later that evening, we had about 30-40 people in the Ambassador suite for a party (once again.. Aquasis foot the bill) that included 2 handles of Grey Goose, about 100 oz of Redbull and plenty of other mixers.

Sunday comes around, and we all hit the exhibit hall to take a peek around. First, CPA Empire’s Brittany met me for lunch at the Westin (SlightlyShady joined us as well) and we had a little food before heading over to the Meet Market. Once there, it wasn’t too hard to spot a lot of people from Wicked Fire. All I had to do was look towards the COPEAC booth at people flying their rockets over the wall into people’s heads.

More to come in part 2 …
